This two or Three-day class will quickly teach you some of the basic techniques of sneaker making. This is an accelerated class! To make this possible you will be using a prepared sneaker pattern template to design from.
Choices you will have: LOW, MID or HIGHTOP sneaker. You will be able to customize your sneaker via material choices and simple design details: Topline, Laces, Eyelets, Pull tabs, Topstitching...
We highly recommend upgrading to the 5-day shoemaking class for elaborate designs apart from the basic designs we will work with. As we have no time, lasts will not be modified, and everyone will work with MORGAN lasts.
Day 1 (Full Day): Patternmaking, Cutting Leathers, Start stitching
Students will be able to choose leathers from our leather library. Materials are included. If you intend on going shopping to purchase your own leathers, that will be on your time and $.
Day 2 (Full day) : Finish stitching, and start lasting. Finish Lasting, attach heel counters and toe puffs.
Day 3 (Full day): Attach Cupsole & Speedy Stitching, or use a sidewall stitcher.
Walk out with a pair of custom sneakers in three days!
